MSNBC inaccurately claims Rittenhouse legal professional asked for Rev. Al Sharpton to be tossed from courtroom

MSNBC deleted a tweet and issued a correction on Friday following inaccurately reporting Kyle Rittenhouse’s attorney requested Rev. Al Sharpton to be tossed out of the courtroom.

“’Arrogant insensitivity’: Rev. Sharpton slams Rittenhouse law firm who requested for Sharpton’s removal from court,” MSNBC claimed in a now-deleted tweet. 

MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation” host wasn’t present at the trial of Rittenhouse, who is charged with intentional murder amongst other counts in the capturing deaths of two persons all through chaotic August 2020 civil rights demonstrations and says he acted in self-defense.

Sharpton was in a unique courtroom on Thursday, in accordance to MSNBC’s company sister NBC News.

Sharpton blasted the lawyer with the exact rhetoric MSNBC attributed its weekend host to stating about Rittenhouse’s law firm in the now-deleted tweet.

It seems whoever controls MSNBC’s Twitter account bought the higher-profile trials combined up, ensuing in bogus information heading to its 4.4 million followers. The network adopted up with a correction.

MSNBC did not straight away reply to a request for comment.
