Albany County, Albany Law School teaming up to offer legal expert services for Afghan refugees

A new partnership between Albany County and Albany Regulation Faculty will give no cost legal companies to Afghan refugees relocated to the Money Region who are looking for long-lasting citizenship.

County Legislature Chair Andrew Joyce joined college officers Thursday to announce a $50,000 grant to assistance pay for the lawful providers offered by the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, a non-earnings, and by students in the Immigration Legislation Clinic at the Justice Center at Albany Legislation School.

The Democrat claims the system will enable 250 refugees staying resettled in Albany and Watervliet right after fleeing Afghanistan past 12 months.
