Bittersweet news: People has confirmed that Ali Wong and her entrepreneur partner, Justin Hakuta, are getting divorced.
More than the system of their eight-year relationship, Wong has filmed two stand-up specials though pregnant, so please justification me if I feel a little overinvested in their romantic relationship. Per Persons, they satisfied at a 2010 marriage ceremony whilst he was studying at Harvard Company Faculty. You may perhaps bear in mind that she claimed in her 2016 Netflix unique, Newborn Cobra, she “knew that he was a catch” when they fulfilled. She joked, “I was like, Oh my God, I’m gonna entice his ass.”
Wong and Hakuta married in San Francisco in 2014 and had their initially daughter, Mari, a year later, followed by Nikki in 2017. Wong wrote about signing a prenup in her 2019 guide, Expensive Girls: Personal Tales, Untold Secrets, and Guidance for Dwelling Your Most effective Everyday living. “Being compelled to sign that prenup was one particular of the finest items that ever transpired to me and my job,” she wrote, indicating it gave her “the present of fear” and designed her “more determined to make my have money.”
According to a supply, the divorce is “amicable” and Wong and Hakuta “will keep on to co-father or mother lovingly.” If there is any person who can gracefully regulate a new baby-rearing arrangement, it is the girl who did two stand-up specials when expecting.
