Lawyer billed with manslaughter for shooting guy in the head outdoors exercise

LITCHFIELD, CT (WFSB) – A lawyer underneath investigation pursuing a lethal capturing exterior of his law practice last year now faces a manslaughter charge.

According to state law enforcement, Robert Lownds Fisher, 75, of Goshen, turned himself in to them on Wednesday.

An lively warrant was issued for Fisher’s’ arrest.

Fisher is accused of capturing 39-year-previous Matthew Bromley in the head in the parking lot of the Cramer & Anderson Law Organization on West Avenue in Litchfield on June 7, 2021.

In accordance to the warrant, Fisher referred to as 911 and described that Bromley, whom he mentioned he did not know, had assaulted him.

Fisher claimed that Bromley adopted him to the lot, opened his motor vehicle doorway, and punched him in the confront. He said Bromley threatened to kill him for “ruining his life.”

Fisher mentioned he took out his gun and instructed Bromley to back again off, but that Bromley charged. That’s when he explained he fired.
